Lighter weight socks are great for everyday wear. This class will teach you how to make a top-down sock which includes a lot of skills you can transfer to other projects!

Classes will be a combination of actual knitting and discussion. Topics will include criteria for selecting yarn; reading yarn labels; choosing appropriate needles; knitting with and without patterns; and reviewing terms and abbreviations. Skill levels will determine the knitting segment of the class, ranging from casting on; ways to hold yarn; how to control tension; and how to evaluate and improve your current projects. Links to legitimate Internet resources will be suggested. Beginners should bring 9" No. 8 straight wooden needles and light colored, worsted weight yarn. If you have some knitting experience, bring your current project.
