The emphasis is on traditional methods of construction which include a minimum of finishing. Due to popular demand Zilbourg’s book was updated two years ago and now includes directions for knitting gorgeous stranded socks as well as classic stranded mittens. The class has four meetings in order to provide ample opportunity for knitters to complete the project they select. The mittens require attention to detail but are worth every bit of effort put into them. Instructions on how to line mittens will be part of the class. Knitters wanting to extend the techniques to sock knitting are welcome to join the class as well. If you have already knit magnificent mittens, it might be time for you to knit magnificent socks.
